Spending today decorating the tree and getting the electric train to run.
My interest in Kovalevskaya, the 19th century mathematician, is being perked again.
Really need to do something with the article she wrote on Charcot. Too bad the project with the neurosurgeons who wanted to publish the article with comments in a medical journal fell through. Oh well.

Not looking forward to my trip to the post office to mail Christmas stuff and fill some book orders.

Merry Christmas ALL

Here's a fun link for the Christmas inclined:

Finishing up formating Old Friend Of the Family for publication to iTunes.
Anyone else notice that the vamp-vampire is Morgan la Fay ? Kind of ties in with Fred's using Dracula with Merlin figures and his fascination with the Arthur legend. Any comments?

Hello All,
.

I'm Joan Spicci aka Joan Saberhagen aka Joan Spicci Saberhagen aka Joan.
I'll be talking about my adventures as head of
JSS Literary Productions, the company managing the literary estate of science fiction and fantasy writer Fred Saberhagen.
So there will be lots about Fred's work, lots about what's being republished, and lots about my adventures in working with Fred's work.  Or, whatever else from the publishing world strikes my fancy.

Also, I'll talk about my interest in the 19th century Russian mathematician Sofya Kovalevskaya.
What can I say.  I'm a 19th century history buff with a special interest in women in science.

Jules Verne is also on my interest list.  I recently became a member of the Jules Verne Forum.  So now and again, I'll drop notes on 'Big Julie'.

Well, this is a start.
